EVOLUTION

CAD

- as part of our on going CAD brief our final task was to create a basic women's wear block in Adobe Illustrators. I created the block to my own body measurements making it very helpful if i ever needed to make a dress to my size. This exercise was very time consuming but worth it as it is my size, however when comparing my pattern to the tutorials average size 10 pattern I found that areas of mine pattern were completely different to the tutorials, for example a few of my darts were a lot bigger than the average size 10 pattern.

- My previous brief was biased on sustainability and the surrounding of it. Which involved creating a capsual collection in the style of the fashion brand 'Noir'. My current brief was to create a concept board and 4 illustration boards linked to the previous sustainable brief

-CONCEPT BOARD - monochrome trend

-DESIGN DEVELOPMENTS

-ILLUSTRATIONS

These two illustrations where created in the same style as each other, I aimed at the ready to wear target market as I used the garments from the Nior capsual collection design boards to illustrate. I also Incorporated the New York skyline as I was inspired by this while designing the design boards.
I feel my illustrations fit well with the ready to wear target market as they portray a very delicate touch with much detail on a small scale. I also decided to keep my illustrations black and white as this linked well with my concept board involving the monochrome trend.

-SECOND ILLUSTRATIONS

for my second set of illustration boards I choose to aim at the High street target audience as I used simple medias such a felt pen in sharp motions. I also decided to involve the sky line in the illustrations as well, this would link all 4 illustrations up together. I feel these illustration could be improved their for i am going to add close up illustration of the garments as well.
