Last Weeks Tasks...

So last week we had to complete the first few tasks of our new brief (exciting) Our first task was to research into the Design Principles (If i'm honest I didn't have a clue what they were either.) After we had research them we had to display them into our sketchbooks, I choose to get a variety of different pictures to display the design principles. As you can see below the design principles are in fact the shape, texture and style of garments.
Task 1

Task 2

Our second task of the week was to research into two current trends, I straight away knew off the top of my head that I wanted to research into the trend 'Monochrome' I have always loved the Monochrome look as I do like wearing black. But then I couldn't think of a second trend off the top of my head, then it came to me 'Oversized Coats' it sounded logical as we are coming into A/W now and I had seen so many huge style coats in high streets stores!

My Top 3 Blogs

As i'm a blogger myself I also like to have a look and noisy on other peoples blogs. Over this summer I have got quite into daily checking Ashley's Madekwe's 'Ring My Bell' Fashion Blog. It shows us as reader what her daily outfits are and where we can get her outfit from or she will give us an alternative.

Blog Number One.
What I like about Ashley's fashion blog is that its very modern and consistent, it shows us a variety of different styles and I just enjoy getting to see what she wears to different occasions, and where I can get that outfit.

Blog Number Two.

Another blog I have been very interested in over this summer is the Made In Chelsea's star Millie Mackintosh's Style Diary Blog. Her Blog also gives us a daily outfit post, showing us her outfit everyday and where it is from. She also has another section of her blog where she talks about general activities, such as her favourite recipes and description of why she choose that outfit.

Blog Number Three.

Topshop's Tumblr Blog has been a favourite of mine for a while now as it shows us the street style of London but it also gives us the opportunity to ask any questions about their styles. I enjoy looking at Topshop's blog as it gives me ideas for my own style and I general just like looking at peoples individual styles.
